pardon my ignorance to the medium though... what type of ballpoints are you using??? The colors look almost airbrushed they're so soft...

It reminds me of an art project we had to do in basic 2D design where we had to do a self-portrait and choose whether we replicate our picture in either Organic or Mechanic elements. I took one look at this picture and immediately thought about that project.
I think that if you did that in the class, my teacher's jaw would've hit the floor. =3
